ABC/Image Group LALee Brice not only finishes 2015 with Billboard’s Country Airplay chart naming “Drinking Class” the most-played song on the radio,  he was also able to help folks in his home state suffering from this year’s devastating floods.

Shortly after South Carolina was hit by the weather disaster, Lee played two shows, gathering money and food at both his October 16 concert at Coastal Carolina University and his outdoor set in Spartanburg the next day. He followed up with another date at Columbia’s Finlay Park in November.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to step in and help, even in a small way,” Lee says. “So many people were impacted and are still recovering from immense water damage to their homes and property.” In all, he was able to raise $20,000, giving half to a family from Sumter, his hometown, and an equal amount to the American Red Cross.

The Recording Industry Association of America also certified “Drinking Class” platinum in 2015. Lee heads out on his Life Off My Years tour with Tyler Farr in February.
