Photo Credit: Joseph LanesWhen Lee Brice plays his show this Sunday night at Brewhouse Music & Grill in Rome, Georgia, he’ll have completed his goal to play all 50 states in one year in record time. Once a member of his band pointed out how many of the U.S.A.’s 50 they were ticking off the list, Lee got on the phone with his management and booking agent, and threw down the gauntlet.
“I’m so excited about this,” he says, as he becomes the only country artist to achieve the milestone this year. “As soon as I realized how close we were, I just had to make it happen.” And make it happen he did, with six weeks to spare. If you’re counting, Lee completed the task in 46 of 2015’s 52 weeks.
Next up, Lee plays St. Petersburg, Florida on Wednesday, with an announcement about his 2016 headlining tour to come soon.
