ABC/Image Group LA This New Year’s Eve, LOCASH will set the bar for what a Music City party is supposed to be, as the duo welcomes Opry City Stage to the Big Apple.

The new venue, which officially opened December 1, is the Grand Ole Opry’s first “home away from home,” situated in Times Square in New York City.

“I think it’s fantastic…” Chris Lucas says of the new bar, restaurant, and concert stage. “I love New York City and me and Preston [Brust] love coming up here. And the fact that we’re bringing Nashville, the Grand Ole Opry, to this great city, is amazing… There’s a lot of country fans up here.”

Preston says country fans in the Empire State are just like the ones everywhere else — they were just missing a spot like Opry City Stage.

“They just need a place to go!” Preston exclaims. “I mean, there’s a lot of great country fans up here and there’s some great country radio stations here too. And I think that’s evidence that there’s country fans looking for live entertainment, and Opry City Stage is gonna be perfect for them.”

There are plenty of pieces of Nashville at Opry City Stage, including memorabilia and nostalgia to invoke the history of the world’s longest-running radio show.

“We got to taste the food too before anybody,” Chris adds, “and I mean it is ridiculous.”

As for LOCASH’s two intimate performances on NYE, Chris says expect to hear their soon-to-be-released new single, “Don’t Get Better than That.”

“We’re gonna do a lot of new stuff coming out next year,” Chris explains, “so people will be able to see… what’s coming out on the new album…”

Tickets for LOCASH’s two NYE shows at Opry City Stage are available at OpryCityStage.com/NewYearsEve.
