ABC/Image Group LAAt Sunday night’s American Music Awards, Luke Bryan not only competes for Favorite Male Artist against Jason Aldean and Sam Hunt in the country category, he’s also up for the all-genre Artist of the Year trophy, vying with the likes of Maroon 5, One Direction and Taylor Swift.

“That’s still amazing when I get opportunities like that, when I see my name amongst all of music,” Luke says of the chance to take home the night’s biggest award. “The AMAs have been really, really amazing for me. It’s a fun thing to go out there and be in the room with the best of the best and me to have a legitimate place there.”

The CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year will also debut his new song, a duet with Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild.

“’Home Alone Tonight’ will be my next single. Karen is the vocalist on there. It’s just an amazing track. We’re so excited to have it coming out to radio and this is our first chance to showcase it,” he says. “You know, to be on an awards show like the AMAs and have the opportunity to be a country artist and then two country artists up there is going to be an amazing opportunity.”

That won’t be Karen’s only job that night, though. LBT is set to present, and they have a chance to walk away with the Favorite Duo or Group — Country award. You can check out all the performances and find out who wins Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
