ABC/Image Group LAWhen you’re both the CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year, you can have pretty much whatever you want to eat on Christmas Eve. But what Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline like to serve on the night before Christmas isn’t your typical holiday treat.
“Our main Christmas tradition is we like to do chili dogs on Christmas Eve and then wake up and just open presents with all the kids,” he reveals.
As for Christmas morning, Luke says when it comes to presents, it’s hard to beat what Santa brought him when he was eight.
“My favorite Christmas gift is definitely my first Honda 50 motorcycle that I got back in 1984,” he recalls. “It was just an amazing gift to have under the tree, and I never will forget seeing that as I walked out.”
After a holiday at home with his family, Luke travels to New York City to ring in 2016 on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest. He’ll sing a medley of his hits on the show that also features Carrie Underwood, Demi Lovato, 5 Seconds of Summer, One Direction and others. You can catch it at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
