ABC/Randy HolmesWhen you have an MTV-Video-Music-Award-winning director in the band, why would you ever hire anyone else to make your videos?

That’s the case with Midland’s Cameron Duddy, who’s well-known for crafting Bruno Mars’ clips for “Locked Out of Heaven,” “Uptown Funk,” and “Versace on the Floor,” just to name a few of the pair’s collaborations.

Just as he did with Midland’s debut #1 song, “Drinkin’ Problem,” Cameron was at the helm for the trio’s new video for their latest single, “Make a Little.”

“We incorporated [the shoot] into a live concert at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona,” lead singer Mark Wystrach tells ABC Radio. “Cameron directed that and was also starring in it, playing in it, and that was tough.”

Since then, whenever Cameron wasn’t on stage, he was likely working on the new video.

“He’s built, like, a little edit bay in the back of the bus, at 80-miles-an-hour, bumpin’,” Mark explains. “So if this music video seems a little shaky…” he jokes.

“You’ll know why,” Cameron adds, finishing Mark’s sentence.

Cameron also managed to cut in a shirtless scene starring Mark, who previously worked as an actor and Calvin Klein model. You can check out the “Make a Little” video on YouTube now.
