Columbia Nashville“Like a graphic novel on acid” — that’s how Maren Morris describes the new video for the second single from her breakthrough album, Hero. In fact, the newcomer says it’s exactly what she envisioned all along.
“‘80s Mercedes’ was a music video in my mind from the day we wrote it,” she recalls. “I wanted the visuals to feel really neon, hyper-stylized and fun… I couldn’t picture a more fitting representation of the song.”
Shot in Los Angeles using primarily green-screen technology, the video even features a cameo from a childhood friend Maren promised a part in the video long ago.
