ABC/Image Group LAIt was simply “Meant to Be”: Florida Georgia Line’s collaboration with pop star BeBe Rexha is their new country single.

Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley didn’t originally expect the song would find a home on country radio, but they’ve decided to release it as a single, since some stations have already been playing it.

“Some of the coolest moments for us have been the ones we never planned,” says Tyler, who co-wrote “Meant to Be.”  “Going into the writing session that day in L.A., we had no idea that it would turn into this. Seeing how the fans are connecting to the vibe and message of ‘Meant to Be’ has been really amazing.”

As of now, you won’t find the tune on an FGL record, however. It’s on BeBe Rexha’s All Your Fault: Pt. 2 EP.

If you’re a Comcast Xfinity customer, you can watch a special on-demand performance of “Meant to Be” after Sunday’s American Music Awards.  FGL vies for Favorite Country Duo or Group on the show, and is set to perform their other pop hit, “Let Me Go,” with Hailee Steinfeld, Alesso and watt. The 2017 American Music Awards start Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Florida George Line’s current country hit, “Smooth,” is still climbing in the top 15, as the pair work on their follow-up to Dig Your Roots.
