Mindy Small/FilmMagicMerle Haggard is facing more health problems.  Once again, the country music legend has been hospitalized with double pneumonia.

Haggard, who’s 78, had just recently returned to the road after canceling a series of dates last month, and now has postponed a few more this month while he recovers.  Apparently, he returned to the road too soon.

This isn’t the first time Haggard has been sidelined by serious health issues.  Apart from last month’s bout with pneumonia, he also fought the illness in January 2012, at which time doctors discovered he also had three stomach ulcers, removed eight polyps from his colon, and diagnosed him with diverticulitis in his esophagus.

Haggard’s publicist tells ABC Radio his doctors want him to take another month off to fully recover. The Country Music Hall of Famer plans to return to the road in April.
