CMAMiranda Lambert wants to release at least one more single from her CMA Award-winning album, Platinum, and she’s hoping that song is the self-penned ballad about self-image struggles, “Bathroom Sink.”

Though her record label hasn’t given her the final confirmation yet, Miranda says, “In my mind, that’s what I would pick, just because that’s where I am artistically. Clearly with my life where it is right now, I just feel like that sort of sets up where I’m headed.”

The raw lyrics of “Bathroom Sink” have rung true with Miranda in the past few months, since she divorced husband Blake Shelton in July.  She says of the song, “It’s not necessarily sunshine and roses. I just went through kind of a difficult time in my life, and that seems to be the clear choice.”

“Bathroom Sink” has also been a highlight of Miranda’s shows this summer on her all-female tour with Ashley Monroe, RaeLynn, Clare Dunn and more.  “It sort of speaks to what we go through as women,” Miranda adds with a laugh. “Some days we look in the mirror and then we don’t. We look away.”

Miranda is up for several trophies, including Entertainer of the Year, at the 49th Annual CMA Awards, airing Wednesday, November 4 on ABC.
