Sony Music NashvilleMiranda Lambert launched her own line of shoes and boots last December with her music and lifestyle serving as the main inspiration. Some of the high heels have a rock and roll edge, while the boots give a nod to Miranda’s country roots.
She tells Women’s Wear Daily that running her boutique, The Pink Pistol, taught her some valuable lessons going into the shoe line launch.
“Keep it simple,” Miranda says of her design philosophy. “You can’t get crazy with design because you need something for everybody. I learned that with buying for my store, especially at the beginning. You have to keep it a little neutral or you’ll paint yourself into a corner.”
Miranda wore flashy, metallic boots from her shoe line while performing “Automatic” on the ACM Awards earlier this month. Look for her shoes at DSW, Rack Room Shoes and Country Outfitters.
