ABC/Image Group LALooking elegant in a black jumpsuit and red heels, Miranda Lambert performed a tribute to the Eagles on Tuesday night’s broadcast of The Kennedy Center Honors on CBS, singing their classic “Desperado.” The country/rock legends were to be among this year’s honorees, but elected to delay the career milestone until 2016 due to the illness of member Glenn Frey, who’s dealing with surgery for intestinal issues.

Honorees this year include Star Wars filmmaker George Lucas, musician Carole King, actress and singer Rita Morena, conductor Seiji Ozawa, and actress and Broadway star Cicely Tyson. The show was taped Sunday, December 6 at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
