Tesh/CosmopolitanIn the wake of Miranda Lambert’s surprise split this year from Blake Shelton, it seems most of the attention lately has been focused on her personal life– and not her music. But the six-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year says she’s actually more focused on her craft than ever before — especially when it comes to helping other women in the business.
“I just love what I do so much,” she tells Cosmopolitan. “I love songwriting and the road and the family of country music. I love being a female in country music and lifting up other females of country. I’m more in it right now than I ever have been.”
This fall, Miranda was true to her word with her all-female Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars tour, and she’s shown up more than once lately to support pal Ashley Monroe in concert. The two have even hinted there may be new music from Pistol Annies, their trio with Angaleena Presley, in the coming year.
