Image Courtesy Becky Fluke/SonyMusicMiranda Lambert‘s 7th Annual Cause for the Paws event raised more than $600,000 to help rescue dogs in need of forever homes. The event took place in Las Vegas in conjunction with Miranda’s performance at the Route 91 Harvest Festival earlier this month. A VIP experience complete with a live and silent auction helped to boost proceeds.
Miranda says, “Getting to do what I love and help the cause that’s closest to my heart, and do it in Vegas; it doesn’t get any better. With the money raised, I am looking forward to seeing lots of dogs find loving forever homes through adoption.”
The money raised will benefit Miranda’s Mutt Nation Foundation and their ongoing projects, including the building of the Redemption Ranch, a new owned-and-operated shelter in Miranda’s hometown of Tishomingo, OK opening November 22.
