ABC/Image Group LAThere’s new music now available from Miranda Lambert, thanks to the forthcoming Southern Family concept album. Elektra Records posted a behind-the-scenes video this weekend of the CMA Female Vocalist of the Year recording “Sweet By and By,” the song she wrote for the project.

“It kinda sounds like something your mom would’ve sang to you to sing you to sleep, like a lullaby almost,” she says of the tune, going on to talk about the idea behind the record.

“I think if you’re from the South, you’re just a little more proud than anybody that’s not. So I’m interested to hear the whole project put together and people’s interpretation of what their Southern family is to them,” she adds.

Zac Brown, Morgane and Chris Stapleton, and Miranda’s boyfriend Anderson East also contribute songs to the album, which is how the two reportedly came together.

Southern Family will be released March 18. Fans who pre-order it will instantly get “Sweet By and By,” or you can download Miranda’s song separately.
