Getty Images via ABCIf you follow his socials, have seen him at an awards show or have perhaps heard a little song of Thomas Rhett’s called “Die a Happy Man,” you know how madly in love he is with his wife Lauren. But the two lovebirds are in for a tiny bit of a separation — albeit a temporary one — as TR’s “better half” heads halfway around the world on a mission trip.
“Please pray for @laur_akins and the whole @147million team as they head to Africa today!” he shared on Tuesday. “Thanks for the support,” he added with a thumbs up.
The 147 Million Orphans page also features a photo of Lauren and her group as they prepared to head out from the Nashville airport. The organization works to provide food, water and medicine for children in need.
“If ya’ll wanna follow our @147 million African journey this week snap: @love147million,” Lauren tweeted. “Thank ya’ll for your support and prayers!!”
Meanwhile, her hubby will be busy doing what he loves this weekend. On Friday, he plays Rhinelander, Wisconsin; before heading to Fort Loramie, Ohio; and Ottawa, Canada on Saturday and Sunday.
