Country newcomer Cam is making quite an impression with her new single, “Burning House.” She says of the track, “This song has had a life of its own since the day we finished writing it. ‘Burning House’ is really a hard song to sing because it’s such a heavy, personal subject for me. But I think the more vulnerable you feel about your lyrics, the more likely it is that you are saying something that needs to be said.”
Miranda Lambert has postponed her Thursday date at Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome, due to serious inflammation of her vocal cords. She said in a statement, “I’m so sorry that I can’t be at Stampede this week, but I’ll be back in Calgary just as soon as I can for all of my Stampede fans.” She plans to reschedule the show in the Canadian city.
