Burke/Triolo Productions/ThinkstockCountry Music Hall-of-Famers Alabama and Charlie Daniels will play a September 26 benefit for Jacksonville State University, the institution near Anniston, Alabama, that was badly damaged by recent tornadoes. Jamey Johnson, Shenandoah and others will join them, to raise money for the former teachers’ college. Alabama’s Randy Owen and Johnson both graduated from JSU. Tickets start at $25 and are on sale now.

Lindsay Ell‘s The Continuum Project will be available on May 25. Lindsay’s re-recording of John Mayer‘s album started as a homework assignment to recreate her favorite album, done at the urging of Sugarland‘s Kristian Bush, as the two were making her debut record, The Project, which yielded her breakthrough hit, “Criminal.”
