ABC/Bob D’AmicoNashville may be on winter hiatus right now, but Jonathan Jackson is staying busy. The actor who plays Avery Barkley on the hit ABC show is in the process of opening a restaurant and concert venue on the outskirts of Music City.

His former General Hospital co-star Steve Burton is one of the other partners in Jack and Jameson’s Smokehouse, which is named for owner/operator Rick Shannon’s sons.  Social media sites for the family-friendly barbecue joint, located at 509 Hillsboro Road in Franklin, Tennessee, promise world-class music on weekends, along with more than 20 local micro brews.

Since Jonathan and his brother Richard Lee Jackson have their own band called Enation, it’s likely safe to assume they’ll be taking the stage at some point.  Burton’s band, Port Chuck, made up of one-time GH co-stars Scott Reeves, Brandon Barash and Bradford Anderson are already set to play two dates at the new venue, on March 29 and 30. So far, Jack & Jameson’s doesn’t have a firm opening date.
