ABC/Mark LevineThere’s no denying country music is in the middle of a baby boom right now.

Already this month, both Jason Aldean and Dylan Scott have welcomed their first sons, while Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard is awaiting the birth of a little girl later in December. Also on the list for a yuletide arrival? Lady Antebellum’s Dave Haywood.

“It’s not gonna be a ‘Silent Night’ this Christmas for us,” he jokes. “We are having a baby the week before Christmas. So, we’ll be up all night and it’s gonna be a beautiful time….it could be a Christmas baby, you don’t know. But we’re thrilled and it just makes it that [much] more special this holiday season.”

While Dave’s son Cash will soon be a big brother, Dave says that’s not what the three-year-old is most focused on these days.

“My son loves…presents and candy. He’s so hyper-focused on presents and candy. I haven’t yet explained the full story — Santa, Jesus, you know, kinda go through the stories of the holidays. But he’s obsessed with presents, so we’ll be spending all of our time on that probably,” he laughs.

Dave’s bandmate Hillary Scott is also expecting — she’s having twin girls, though they’re not due until February.

You can catch Lady A doing both “Silver Bells” and “This Christmas” on this year’s CMA Country Christmas special, which re-airs Thursday, December 21 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
