ABC/Image Group LAIf you happen to see Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts waiting tables, he hasn’t fallen on hard times — he’s just raising money for charity.

This year, Jay will host the “Waiting for Wishes Celebrity Waiters Dinner” with 14-season NFL veteran Kevin Carter for the 17th time. The April 24 event at The Palm in Nashville raises money for both Carter’s foundation and Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee.

Pro athletes, country stars and other celebs come together every year to serve up surf-and-turf, sign autographs, and generally do whatever they can to drum up money for the cause. They’ve collected more than $2 million since 2002.

For 2018, the official after-party will move across Broadway in Music City to Dierks Bentley’s new honky tonk, with Jay leading the jam session at Whiskey Row.

We’ll find out which celebs will be slinging hash closer to the event. In the meantime, scoring a ticket isn’t exactly cheap, but it’s for a good cause. It’ll set you back $550 for a single ticket, or $3,600 for a table for eight.
