Stoney Creek RecordsRandy Houser celebrated his third consecutive #1 hit, “Goodnight Kiss,” with a party in Nashville Monday afternoon. The event was even sweeter since this is the first chart-topper Randy wrote himself.

He says, “To actually get to be the guy that gets to sing my first #1 as a writer, that’s a real special thing.”

The party comes at a difficult time for Randy as he’s currently going through a divorce from his wife, Jessa. While he’s happy to listen to advice from friends and fans, he’s not going to discuss the split publicly at all.

“Nobody knows the circumstances around my personal life as well as Jessa and I do, and I’m not going to talk about it,” Randy says.

That being said, Randy welcomes words of encouragement from those around him.

“Life’s tough,” he says. “You know, we’re all having to live it and we all gotta get through things and make the best of situations, and I think that both of us are smart enough to do that.”

On a happier note, Randy’s “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” video is up for Male Video of the Year at the 2014 CMT Music Awards. Randy will be on hand for the broadcast airing live from Nashville Wednesday night at 8 ET.
