Reba tells ABC Radio, “I think it’s a woman’s anthem, about not giving up, not giving in. I’m going out and having a blast. I ain’t goin’ out like that, like he expects me to.”

When it came to finding songs for this album, Reba used her tried-and-true method of looking for lyrics she could relate to in some way.

“Same formula as always,” Reba says. “Just trying to find the songs that touch my heart, ’cause if it touched my heart when I sing it, it’s gonna touch your heart. Whether it’s happy [or] sad.”

Reba recruited some famous faces to help her out on Love Somebody. Jennifer Nettles is featured on the duet, “Enough,” and Sam Hunt and Brandy Clark are among the writers on the album.

As for tapping into Music City’s talented pool of songwriters for the project, Reba says, “There are so many great songwriters on this album that I’ve been a huge fan of for many years. Some new. Some…been around a long time. Can’t say old anymore, because that’d be me too. I’m not gonna admit that. But talent. Talent is what Nashville is full of.”

Tune in to see Reba on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live! Thursday night. She’s also performing on the 50th Annual ACM Awards this Sunday night at 8 ET on CBS.
