ABC/Kelsey McNealJust like she said in her hit 1995 cover of the Patti LaBelle song, Reba is striking out on her own. The Country Music Hall of Famer is starting her own management firm, called Reba’s Business Inc. or RBI. She’ll chart the direction of her career herself, as president of the company.

For close to thirty years, Reba has been managed by her former husband, Narvel Blackstock, through the company they created together, Starstruck Entertainment. Initially, the two announced they would continue their professional relationship after their divorce last year. Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and Caroline Kole will still be represented by Blackstock.

Reba spent Tuesday evening at Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Café mentoring up-and-coming female artists, as part of a movement to increase the number of women regularly played on country radio. In May, she continues her Together in Vegas residency in Sin City with Brooks & Dunn.
