Art Streiber/NBCBlake Shelton‘s significant other may not be serving as a coach on season 10 of The Voice, but Gwen Stefani will reportedly be back in another capacity. A source tells Us Weekly that Gwen will serve as mentor to the “Gonna” chart-topper’s team.
Before season nine ended in December, Blake hinted to Extra that he wanted to find a way to keep Gwen on the show. “I don’t [want] Gwen to not be on the show — why can’t we have a fifth coach?” he said.
The new season of The Voice returns to NBC on February 29 at 8 p.m., with Christina Aguilera returning to fill Gwen’s coaching slot.
