While the song is sung from the perspective of a guy trying to spend some time with a girl at a party or a bar, the video finds Sam stepping in to help out a young mother in an abusive relationship. The stark visuals offer a very different take on the song’s lyrics.
“Take Your Time” is the latest single from Sam’s debut album, Montevallo.
