Columbia NashvilleKeith Urban couldn’t be prouder, as his Ripcord World Tour-mate walks away with most-nominated status at this year’s CMA Awards. Maren Morris equals both Eric Church and Chris Stapleton, grabbing five nods, while her Australian-superstar boss nabs four, including one for the coveted Entertainer of the Year.

“She so deserves every bit of this,” Keith brags. “She’s the real deal. She’s an amazing songwriter, she can deliver live, she can really sing. In this day and age that shouldn’t be such a shock value, but it really is. Someone that can step on stage and deliver, and she’s made a solid record. Hero is a solid record, so she’s really deserving of these nominations.…”

In addition to being recognized for her album, Maren is also up for Female Vocalist and New Artist of the Year, while her breakthrough hit, “My Church,” vies for both Single and Song. We’ll find out if she wins November 2, when The 50th Annual CMA Awards air on ABC.
