Monarch PublicityCraig Morgan will miss three tour dates and an appearance on CBS’s The Talk next week, as he heals from shoulder surgery he underwent on Wednesday. Craig initially hurt himself a couple weeks ago while grappling with some friends at the gym, but surgery to fix the injury turned out to be more extensive than initially planned. Doctors used six screws to repair bone fractures and repaired Craig’s torn tendons.
The “Wake Up Lovin’ You” hitmaker was forced to cancel shows in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Twenty-Nine Palms, California, as well as a date at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Craig will also be sporting a sling for the next few weeks. A rep from his record label, however, tells USA Today she expects a quick recovery. “He’s a trooper, so I don’t think it’ll keep him down long,” she says.
