ABC/Chris HolloTaylor Swift has raised the expectations for her next album quite a bit. She recently met with reporters in Shanghai, China, during her ongoing Asian leg of her RED tour, and addressed the project.

Taylor noted that with her RED tour soon coming to an end, she can focus more on the album. She added, “I’ve already been working very hard on it and it’s already my favorite thing that I’ve ever created.”

Chances are strong that she’ll continue to write songs that draw from her personal experiences — something she said she’s done since she was a pre-teen. She has a good reason for doing so. She told reporters, “I think I really just love the unity that it brings me and the audience because chances are they’ve felt exactly the same way I felt when I wrote the song and I think it kind of reminds everyone — and it reminds me — that the human experience isn’t so lonely. It doesn’t have to be so lonely.”

The RED tour is scheduled to conclude in Singapore on June 12.
