Image Courtesy Monty Brinton/CBSTwo days after the Grammy Awards, music’s top stars gathered to tape a special paying tribute to Stevie Wonder that’ll air Monday night.  The special, Stevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life — An All-Star Grammy Salute, features a cover of Stevie’s 1974 song, “You Haven’t Done Nothin’” performed by The Band Perry.

LL Cool J hosts the special, which also features everyone from Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Ed Sheeran, to John Legend, Tony Bennett and Jennifer Hudson.  Some of the presenters on the show include Tyler Perry, Craig Robinson, Jamie Foxx and former SNL star Maya Rudolph.  Rudolph’s appearance is notable because her late mother, Minnie Riperton, hit #1 on the charts in 1975 with a song Stevie Wonder produced: “Lovin’ You.”

At the end of the show’s taping, Stevie told the audience, “We must, without question, let the world know that love is king and queen. I encourage all of us as artists to write songs about love. Love is the key, and you’ve given me love, and I thank you for it.”

The special will be broadcast with video description, so that blind and visually impaired people — like Stevie himself — can enjoy it as well.
