EMI Records NashvilleEric Paslay’s country music comrades turned out on a Tuesday night to see the “Friday Night” hitmaker preview material from his sophomore album. It was standing room only at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works, as label mate Mickey Guyton opened the show.

“It’s so fun getting to play new songs for all the friendly faces I see tonight,” Eric told the crowd. “Thank ya’ll for letting us be dreamers.”  Along the way, Jake Owen joined him on stage to sing the big hit Eric wrote for him, “Barefoot Blue Jean Night.”

Former tour partner Chris Young was in the audience. His review? “Watching my boy @ericpaslay KILL IT in #Nashville tonight!!!” he tweeted.

Though she currently has a big hit with Luke Bryan, Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild took the stage to duet on a new song with Eric, “Taking My Heartbeat Higher.”  “Your new record is amazing!!” she shared on Instagram, along with a photo. “Thanks for asking me to join you tonight. What a voice and talent… and who knew you were such a good dancer?!”

Right now, “High Class,” the lead single from Eric’s upcoming album, is on the verge of cracking the top 40, with the full project due later this year. This weekend, he continues on the Crushin’ It World Tour with Brad Paisley and Cam.
