Image Courtesy CMAFlorida Georgia Line launches their Anything Goes tour Thursday night in Toledo, Ohio, and they’ve taking two of country’s hottest up-and-comers along to get the crowd warmed up this year — Thomas Rhett and Frankie Ballard.

This trek marks the first time Thomas has performed in the middle slot on a major tour, which means he’ll get about 40 to 45 minutes to play for the fans. Before now, Thomas has only had 20 minutes to play for fans on arena shows, but he sees the value in performing all those short shows.

Thomas says, “I just think that challenging ourselves to be entertaining in 20 minutes has made our long shows more entertaining than they have been in the past. We always just try to challenge ourselves and bring something new to every show that we play.”

Thomas likes to change things up every night so his fans get a spontaneous, entertaining show.

Now Frankie Ballard is stepping into that 20-minute first slot on the Florida Georgia Line tour, and he is very clear on his mission as the first act on the bill.

Says Frankie, “The crowd is definitely coming to see FGL, and it’s a party. They’re gonna be amped up, and it’s my job to get the blood movin’, you know. It’s my job to start the party.”

So, is Frankie ready to whip the crowd into a frenzy before Thomas and FGL hit the stage?

“I will,” he says. “I’ll make sure it happens.”
