Big Machine RecordsEver wonder how Tim McGraw stays in such great shape?  He’s revealed his intense workout regimen in the New York Times.

While on tour, Tim starts out his day running up and down a hill with 40-pound weights attached to his legs. After lunch, Tim and his crew go through 12 circuits of CrossFit exercise. He mixes some martial arts and yoga in there, too.

The 48-year-old country superstar says he’s working hard to keep his endurance levels high.  Says Tim, “I don’t want to not be able to go up there and do a two-hour high-energy show.”

Tim prefers to work out shirtless, but you won’t see any beefcake photos in the New York Times. Tim adds, “For the [photo] shoot, I put a T-shirt on, because I didn’t want to be running around half-naked.”

Tim’s hard work will be on display in the coming weeks with several TV appearances as he gears up to release his new album, Damn Country Music, on November 6. The lead single form that project, “Top of the World,” is currently racing up the country chart.
