Sunshine SachsHosting a show on Food Network, writing cookbooks and promoting her own lines of cookware and furniture apparently aren’t enough to keep Trisha Yearwood occupied. The CMA Female Vocalist of the Year confesses she’s found another way to keep busy while touring the world with husband Garth Brooks: signing copies of her latest book Trisha’s Table: My Feel Good Favorites for a Balanced Life.
“We usually do book signings in the first few months and then we’re kind of done… But I thought, ‘Well, we’re on tour, we’re going to all these cities, I’m there. Why not?” she laughs.
The Trisha’s Southern Kitchen host confesses the fun she’s been having is simply more motivation to keep going.
“This is the first book I’ve had out since the show has been on, so it’s a whole different ballgame out there… I get to meet all of these women and their families and they talk about how much they love their sister and it’s been a real — it’s almost like we have a family reunion every time,” she says. Her sister Beth is both a frequent guest on her show and a co-writer on her cookbooks.
Trisha hosts her next “family reunion” today at Boswell Book Company in Milwaukee, as she and Garth play 3 dates in Wisconsin.
