In its ninth annual report on traffic accidents, Allstate looked at its claims for 195 cities between 2010 and 2011 to figure out how likely any driver might suffer an accident. Allstate represents about 10 percent of the nation’s insured drivers, so its claims offer an accurate picture of national trends.
For the third time, Fort Collins, Colorado, ranked as the city with the best drivers. They are 28 percent less likely to get into a crash than the national average.
Fort Collins was followed by Boise, Idaho; Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Brownsville, Texas, and Madison, Wisconsin.
