ABC RadioIt’s quite possible Brett Eldredge is having the best week ever. He’d just finished a high-profile TV appearance, when his nearest and dearest threw him a celebration for his 30th birthday on March 23 — and the news about his single, “Drunk on Your Love,” was the icing on the cake.

“When I found out this song was officially number one, I was in Nashville, had just got home from the road, from playing Jimmy Fallon. I played Jimmy Fallon the night before, woke up that day, went through the routines and saw the family and everything,” he tells ABC Radio. “And when I was with my family at a surprise birthday party, with all my friends and my family, I found out that the song was gonna be number one. So at a surprise birthday party to find out that your song is gonna be number one, all that together. That’s about one of the best days ever right there.”

Brett’s good fortune didn’t end there, either. He made the comments about his current number one while celebrating at a party Tuesday in Nashville for his previous chart-topper, “Lose My Mind.” He’s set to sing at this Sunday’s ACM Awards, where he’s also up for Male Vocalist of the Year.
