Randee St. NicholasThese days, two-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Trisha Yearwood is almost as well-known for her culinary skills as she is for her singing. But when the best-selling author and Food Network host tried combining the two, it didn’t go quite as well as she’d hoped.

“I used to think I was going to cook on the road and I had a kitchen in the bus. And I ended up, I think I made a fried bologna sandwich and that was the only thing I ever made,” she tells Reba in a new episode of Trisha’s Southern Kitchen.

Now that she’s in the middle of a world tour with her superstar husband, she’s found the best of both worlds.

“I will have to say on this tour with Garth [Brooks], we have a wonderful catering crew and they’ve been making my recipes out of the book, so it’s really cool. So I get to eat my cooking without having to cook it, which is pretty awesome.”

Trisha’s next opportunity to eat some of her own cooking without having to cook it herself comes January 14 in Sunrise, Florida. You can catch her in the kitchen with Reba during season seven of her Food Network show, which airs Saturday mornings at 10:30 ET.
