Over the weekend, Kenny Chesney wrapped up his very successful, 15 show run at the iconic Sphere in Las Vegas. Apparently, both he and his fans want more.

Kenny has already announced that he will return to Sin City in 2026 for another limited residency next year. “To be able to take our audience on such a magical journey has been one of the highlights of our lives,” Chesney told the crowd at the end of the show. “I can tell you that a couple of days ago…we were asked to come back.”

According to a press release that was distributed after the show, Kenny wasn’t supposed to make the announcement on stage. When asked about it, he admitted “I got a little carried away”.

No other details were announced. The shows are expected to take place over the summer of 2026.

So many times when a story involves Tik-Tok, it turns out to be something dumb. But sometimes it can introduce us to our doppleganger.

Ella Langley has discovered her own “mini me” on the site, after finding a video of a young fan belting out Ella’s “You Look Like You Love Me”. And now she is hooked!

“I’m obsessed with her” said Langley. She then re-posted the video to her own account, and shortly after that got comments from other country stars. Carly Pearce commented “the accent got me”.

So what do you know…Tik Tok can be a magical place. And maybe we’ve discovered a country star in the making?

If you’re going to dip your toes into the country music world, Blake Shelton’s name should be at the top of your list of possible duet partners.

Noah Cyrus (Miley’s younger sister) has announced plans for her new album “I Want My Loved Ones To Go With Me”, and since she intends to reach a country artist, her first call was to Blake. “When I realized I was making a country record, just ‘Blake Shelton, Blake Shelton, Blake Shelton,'” she told the crowd during a recent set at Blake’s Ole Red. “Something kept telling me get in touch with Blake Shelton.”

The two collaborated on a song called “New Country”, which will be released tomorrow (June 20th) but you can hear a teaser on Noah’s social media. She also enlisted the help of another up-and-coming star for a song called “Way Of The World”, featuring Ella Langley.

2025 was already a big year for the pride of Baskin, Louisiana. Could it get any better?

The Country Music Hall of Fame announced that Lainey will be the subject of a new exhibit that will open on July 18. “Lainey Wilson: Tough As Nails” will feature items from her early years. You’ll see the saddle she used as a child and the program from her kindergarten show when she sang “Butterfly Kisses”.

Of course, no exhibit would be complete without items from Lainey’s wardrobe, including hats, fringed jackets, and even those famous bell-bottoms. “It’s a dream come true to have my own exhibit in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum,” Wilson says in a statement, “and such an incredible honor to be included next to so many of my heroes and legendary artists.”

Earlier this year Lainey cleaned up at the ACM awards in May, and got engaged in April.

It’s legendary in the world of rodeo…and it’s also making a case to be legendary in entertainment.

The annual Cheyenne Frontier Days gets underway on July 18 and runs for 10 days, and there will be no shortage of A-list talent to entertain the more than 200,000 fans who will be attending. This year’s lineup has been finalized and it is stacked!

Brooks & Dunn, Megan Moroney, Randy Houser, and Cody Johnson will all be taking the stage at what’s been billed as the World’s Largest Outdoor Rodeo & Western Celebration. The rodeo started way back in 1897, and annually brings in about four times the population of the city of Cheyenne.

Garth Brooks, George Strait, Reba, and Alan Jackson have all performed in Cheyenne at least once.

When you’re hot, you’re hot. And right now Luke Combs is lava!

Over the weekend, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) made it official: Luke is now the 2nd best selling country artist of all time!

The RIAA presented him with 34 new certifications. For those keeping score at home, Combs now has FOUR songs that are certified Diamond, meaning they’ve each sold ten million units. He also has two songs that have surpassed ONE BILLION streams each. No other country artist has done that.

He now trails only the legendary Garth Brooks in total sales. That’s some pretty impressive company!

We all know that Luke Bryan is a born-and-raised country boy from small town Georgia. So any opinion he might have on other country places would hold more weight. But…upstate New York?

Luke recently performed in Bethel, NY…a small town 100 miles from the Big Apple, but with a vibe much more similar to here in the Little Apple. First off, Bethel is where the original Woodstock music festival was held back in 1969.

At a recent show at the Bethel Performing Arts Center, Luke told the crowd that “(Bethel) is the countriest place we’ve ever played”. The basis for that declaration? Apparently Luke’s son had a hankering for some fried chicken. As Luke tells it, “‘Well son, let’s Google some fried chicken. There ain’t no fried chicken within 45 minutes of here. So when you’re 45-minutes from the nearest fried chicken, you’re in a country place.”

Luke Combs had a big hit with his cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car”, and it turns out that was all part of his plan.

In a recent interview, Luke says he wants to “destigmatize” country music.

“The next frontier is expanding my limits to embrace people who want to destigmatize country music” said Combs. “It’s a fresh, different challenge.” He credits his very talented band for giving him the mission to make country music something for everyone. According to Luke they can play anything ranging from Vanessa Carlton to the White Stripes. And he himself hated the genre when he was younger, only circling back and rediscovering it in his later years.

“Parts of the genre could be for anyone” says Combs.

June 11th…a red letter day in country music history, particularly when it comes to an artist’s commitment to their fans.

On this day back in 1996, Garth Brooks showed up unannounced at Fan Fair (today’s CMA Fest). He sat down, grabbed a sharpie, and started signing autographs…and didn’t stop for 23 hours!

That’s right. Nearly a full day, with no stops for food or naps (guessing potty breaks had to happen). But said Garth “It was fun. Try to remember, there was nobody in that line that wasn’t there 23 hours, too. So they waited.”

Not even a pop-up thunderstorm could (pardon the pun) dampen the spirits of those in line. “About 2 in the morning a thunderstorm came up. I thought, ‘Well, we’ll lose ’em all here,'” he says. “Didn’t lose a one of ’em. It was one of the greatest days of my life.”

Just one of many reasons why Garth enjoys such a devoted fanbase.

It’s fairly likely that this album will be one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2025.

Zach Top has announced that his sophomore album “Ain’t In It For My Health”, to be released on the upstart Leo33 label, will be available on August 29th. Fans of traditional country music are understandably pumped!

Details are still thin, but Zach just released what is believed to be the new project’s lead single “Good Times and Tan Lines”, a tune that Zach himself is calling “your new favorite summer banger”.

You can pre-order the new album on June 13th. Meanwhile, he’s out on the road opening dates for Dierks Bentley in Canada and Ohio this week.
