Happy 93rd birthday to coach Tex Winter!
A basketball coach for 61 years, and the creator of the triangle offense, he was definitely a pioneer for the game!
He led Kstate to the 1958 & 1964 final fours, and then, he was hired by the bulls in 1989 to teach Michael Jordan the triangle offense. He won 6 championships with the bulls, and 3 additional championships with the LA lakers in the early 2000’s
Tex Winter Drive was just named for coach a couple of weeks ago.
