The Manhattan Tornado
The Manhattan tornado was officially classified as an F-4. Kansas State University suffered $20 million in damage. Numerous homes were damaged and or destroyed. Earlier in the night that same storm and tornado system resulted in a resident’s death and widespread damage in the city of Chapman.
