Dierks Bentley will be giving fans his 11th album in a few weeks, but his effort to give back to his fellow touring musicians is underway now.
Bentley has announced his Broken Branches Fund, which will offer mental health assistance to touring musicians and crews. He’s teamed up with the Music Health Alliance in the initiative. “Whether you’re sitting in a room all day trying to write the perfect hook or leaving home on a bus for weeks at a time, it can be isolating and exhausting” said Bentley in a statement. “This just felt like the right opportunity to make a bigger commitment on my part to supporting those folks and their families in a more direct and intentional way.”
MHA launched in 2013 and offers access and advocacy to those in the industry who need only ask for help.
Fans will be able to donate all summer at any of Dierks’ tour stops…he’ll be hitting 30 cities. The new album drops June 13th
