It’s been five years since she made the move to Nashville, and Ella Langley has arrived. Her journey has been much longer than that.
Ever since she was a little girl, music was a big part of her life. Her grandparents were both accomplished singers, and her father saw the confidence in his daughter from the start. “This has been the plan for me my whole life”, said Langley on a recent appearance on the “God’s Country” podcast.
After high school, she attended Auburn University for two years. During that time, she and her band played cover songs in what seemed like every bar in the southeast. “I loved it. Everything about it. I’ve always loved it. I’ve never wanted to do anything else” is how she remembers those times. She also remembers calling her parents and telling them she was dropping out of school. It was going to happen eventually…why go deeper in debt.
Ella recently had her first number on hit…a duet with Riley Green “You Look Like You Love Me”. She also did a songwriting session with one of her heroes Miranda Lambert. The future is indeed bright for the Alabama native.
