After the devastation of Hurricane Helene last fall in his native North Carolina, Eric made a promise: to build 100 homes for those who lost everything.
That promise is now underway to becoming reality.
Eric’s foundation, Chief Cares, just purchased a huge plot of land in Avery County for the project. They hope to break ground in April, and to have about half of the homes ready for move-in by June.
“Any time a community needs help, it’s always the community next door that comes running to help.” said Church. “So, we’ve made it our mission at Chief Cares to be that community next door.”
The project is called “Blueprint for the Blue Ridge”. Eric has been donating all the profits from his song “Darkest Hour”. He and Luke Combs headlined a benefit concert last fall that raised more than $24 million for relief efforts. If you’d like to help, here’s the link to the webpage: https://chiefcares.org/
