Every once in a while, we all need to take a little time and get rid of some of that pent up anger, frustration, or disappointment.  Here’s five things you can do today, and anytime you need to, to get rid of that stress.

1) Listen to music…any kind of music.  Research shows that listening to your favorite type of music can lower your blood pressure and slow down that racing heartbeat.  Another great reason to stay locked in to B1047!

2) Get outside.  A walk, a bike ride, or even a car ride with the windows down (so the wind can blow in  your face) helps alleviate stress.  Plus, the dogs LOVE it!

3 And speaking of our four-legged friends, snuggle with your pet.  Dogs are almost always onboard with that.  Cats are…sometimes.  Couldn’t tell you about hamsters, and it’s a definite “no” for goldfish!

4) Get creative…paint, draw, write in a journal.  Or maybe tackle redecorating that room in your home that needs a fresh new look.

5) And finally, unplug.  Turn off your phone, log out of the social media pages, and whatever you do…don’t check your work emails.  They’ll be right where you left them Monday morning!
