Post Malone…Beyonce…and now Ed Sheeran?
In a recent interview, the English singer-songwriter admitted that Nashville is his favorite city. He said that he plans to transition to country music “eventually”.
“I feel like I have to do it properly”, said Sheeran. “Like once you transition to country, you can’t transition back. It’s a genre you have to really respect. It’s not just, dip in and out.”
Now, to be fair, Sheeran isn’t a total stranger to the genre. He’s performed with Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, and even joined Megan Moroney onstage at the legendary Bluebird Cafe. Country music is enjoying immense popularity. We’ll all just have to wait until that first song comes out to know for sure if this was the right move for Ed.
