Lauren Alaina dropped her latest EP Getting Good this morning and it got good.

Yeah, I groaned at that, too.

Bad dad jokes aside, Alaina shows her range with the six song offering. It starts out with a declaration of her Country roots with “In My Veins,” which almost seems a bit cliche at this point with the glut of “Hey, I’m actually Country, y’all” songs out there. That doesn’t detract from it being a good song, however.

Also included are the previously released “Ladies In The 90s” and the title track of the EP “Getting Good.”

“I can’t believe we have finally put out new music,” Alaina wrote in an instagram post. “I’m so excited to share where I’ve been the last few years. These six songs are my heart! This music shows the ups and downs. These songs are my heartbreaks, my inspiration, new love and loss. I hope you love them.”

Alaina just wrapped her own “That Girl Was Me” headlining tour and is currently out with Blake Shelton on the 2020 edition of the “Friends and Heroes Tour,” which comes to Wichita and the Intrust Bank Arena on Wednesday, March 11.
