Twas the night before Christmas, and throughout the listening area…

Most of us have a tradition or two that helps us celebrate the holiday. Well, aside from having way cooler jobs, our favorite country stars also have traditions. For example, Dierks Bentley (who grew up in Arizona) enjoys taking his family out to look at Christmas lights. It’s something he did as a child and now he’s passed that on to his own family.

Newcomer Jordan Davis and his family started a new tradition upon moving to Nashville; they head to a local historic theatre (the Belcourt) for the holiday showing of “It’s A Wonderful Life”. Jordan says it’s something he really looks forward to every year.

As you know, Keith Urban is from Australia, where things are a bit different. For one, winter is summer in the southern hemisphere. Keith grew up going to the beach every December. “Yeah, we still love going to the beach at Christmas time, as long as we’re in Australia, because it’s like the Fourth of July. It’s huge. Everybody’s out. It feels very celebratory,” he explained.

And when Reba McEntire was a little girl, she remembers going out and cutting down a live tree. Unfortunately that meant keeping it watered daily, and then cleaning up all of those needles. So now that she’s a grown up…it’s artificial trees for her family. Not only do they not shed needles, you can leave them up all year.

Merry Christmas everyone!
