Oh, social media. How I both loathe you, and can’t quit you

Since it’s inception in the early 2000s, social media has steadily taken over more and more of our lives. We HAVE to know what our Facebook friends are posting, the world HAS to know what we think on Twitter, and OMG, ISN’T THIS CAT SO CUTE ON INSTAGRAM!?!?!

That doesn’t mean we aren’t getting fatigued from it. A survey on YouGov (which has nothing to do with the Government. It’s just a name, people.) shows that the majority of people responding say they’ve taken a social media break.

A total of 31 percent of respondents say they can’t stop scrolling.  There were 10 percent that said they don’t use social media, which is ironic considering YouGov is pretty much a social media for survey taking.
