A Texas woman has been scammed out of more than $18,000 by a person who convinced her he was really Morgan Wallen after contacting her online. At first she just sent him Apple Music gift cards…maybe he just wanted to listen to some of his new tunes…but it didn’t stop there. Next, the scammer convinced the woman to give up her social security number and bank account information.
The woman was asked how she could have fallen for such a scheme. Her reply? “I needed validation”
Ma’am…try pickleball. It’s much cheaper.
In all seriousness, if you are ever contacted by a “celebrity” please remember this: they don’t need your money. They won’t ask for your money.
