I know, I know, it’s not even October yet.

That hasn’t stopped polls from coming out already as to what people are wanting and/or giving for Christmas this year. And, apparently, the things we want most are experiences, not necessarily the latest tech gadget.

A new study from OnePoll says that 54 percent of Americans plan to spend more on experiences than they do on stuff this year. For instance, the most popular thing we’re planning on giving friends and family are tickets to concerts or sporting events.

As for what we want to get, vacation-releated stuff is the top vote-getter. That includes just cold, hard cash that can be used for flights and hotels.

The poll also shows that 59 percent of respondents want to go on a big trip for the holidays this year, as opposed to a family get-together at Grandma’s.
